Chit Chat with TikTok

TikTok, a pop ular social media app, has organised a meeting / workshop with various non government organisations [NGOs] in Hyderabad on 22nd November, 2019 at the B.M. Birla Science Museum in Hyderabad.

The meeting was organised to let the people at large know about Tik Tok app & the facilities available, the features in the app as well as the initiatives taken by Tik Tok in terms of providing support to events, issues, movements and other social initiatives.

The purpose of the workshop appeared like : ‘ though Tik tok as a platform is being used by many people for many purposes including comedy entertainment and other things; However Tiktok has also been involved in doing social activities for organising campaigns for common good to the society and did programs with the Government Welfare Departments in the recent past’.

Now, given its popularity and other purposes Tik tok has also come forward to use the NGOs as bridge to do an association with the larger public. In the same pursuit, they have given some examples of Campaigns done towards Environment protection, child safety; expressed willingness to support such type of initiatives, if taken by any individual or organisations trying to spread a good message to a larger audience and helping the society at large to adopt healthy and good habits.

In response the YHAI, Telangana team represented by state Chairman Sri SBV Yadav and Secretary Sri Bh Bhavani Sankar have given suggestions to the Tik Tok team that we organise events and campaigns about the forest clean up, Environment protection, travel and study tour can be made popular among the people.

Further, it was also informed that the Telangana state team of YHAI is already doing many social movements activities and campaigns that can reach a wider audience, i.e., subscribers of Tik Tok.

To conclude it was agreed that the Tiktok team will work with the YHAI, Telangana team to spread awareness about the programs organised and more particularly towards nature its conservation and our Responsibility in nature protection at large.
